Add veggies on top!

I will forever more add potatoes and carrots to the top of pretty much anything I cookerize. On a whim, I added potatoes and carrots in the steamer basket on top of chicken thighs in sauce/broth (whatever bbq juices were leftover from the last time?).
Poultry setting, so 15 min and it was all great! They were soft, but not mushy, and full of flavor. Sometimes I mash them and add milk, sour cream, butter, spices, or whatever sounds good at the time.
One of our chickens was a Silky, so that's why there's a weird color on a thigh. (The legs and wings are completely black, so strange looking!)
